Doug Cocke’ (ko-kay) returns to for his fifth year as an assistant women’s basketball coach. With a belief in strong defensive mindset and offensive fundamentals, Doug is excited to be back working with such a tenacious Redhawk team. After a stint in the service where he was a radio operator and paratrooper, Doug walked on at in 1987, and earned a starting spot for two years playing for legendary coach Ron Billings.
Besides serving as a team captain for one year, he was also known as a defensive specialist and team player. Doug continued his education at receiving a degree in Education and entered the coaching profession. He has served as a graduate assistant at , Junior Varsity and Assistant Varsity Coach at , and an Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach at for Dan Kriley. Doug has also worked many basketball camps in the area.
