College of Southern Idaho: Maylene helped guide the Golden Eagles to a sixth place finish at the NJCAA National Championships. She earned all-tournament honors at a tournament held in Boise, Idaho. She set a school record when she had 14 assists in one game. Maylene averaged nine points, four assist, and just over four rebounds per game for head coach Randy Rogers.
Personal: Maylene plans to major in liberal studies at Seattle University. She is the daughter of Humberto and Luz Madeline Ornelas.
