Teron Uy enters his fifth season as the top assistant coach at Seattle University, helping with the on-court performance of the current team and the recruitment of future student-athletes.

Uy had been an assistant volleyball coach at Wyoming for three seasons, helping the Cowgirls improve both their team defense and their team hitting efficiency. He also served as administrator of the summer camps and assisted in scouting opponents, evaluating technology requirements, and recruiting.

Before heading to Wyoming, Uy spent three years at the University of Washington under head coach Jim McLaughlin in several roles and several years working under former UW coach Bill Neville as a volunteer. As a volunteer assistant coach at UW in 2003 and 2004, he was in charge of setter training and offensive analysis, coaching 2012 U.S. Olympic Team member Courtney Thompson.

He also spent three years at Seattle University under former coach Steve Nimocks from 2001 to 2003, helping the squad to a program-best 22 victories in the 2002 season. He was the technical coordinator for the Redhawk program, tasked with statistical and video analysis.

A graduate of Santa Clara University, Uy was the co-founder of the Sudden Impact volleyball club and served as its technical director from 1998 to 2005. He was the head coach at Skyline High School in 1999 and 2000, earning Eastside Coach of the Year honors in 2000 as he led the team to a seventh place finish in the state.
