Jay Shiogi was promoted to Director of Basketball Operations for the Seattle University men's basketball team prior to the 2015-16 season.
Shiogi spent the 2014-15 season as the video coordinator for the Redhawks. He was responsible for the filming of all games, coordinating film exchange and assisting coaches with scouting of opponents.
Prior to coming to Seattle University, Shiogi spent four years at Washington State University, the final two years as the team's video coordinator and head manager. His duties included coordinating film exchange, assisting coaching staff with opponent scouting, supervised student managers, as well as assisting with team travel and recruit visits. Shiogi also served as assistant camp director for their team, kid and elite basketball camps.
Shiogi graduated from Washington State University in May of 2014 with a degree in sport management, and minors in business administration and communications.
Shiogi is a native of Tacoma, Wash., graduating from Stadium High School in 2010.
