SEATTLE — Seattle U women’s soccer put together a dominant performance Wednesday night at Championship Field, cruising past San Diego, 4-0, behind a brace from Kailee Wilson.

The Redhawks (8-4-2, 2-1-0) wasted little time establishing control. Wilson opened the scoring in the ninth minute, finishing a chance assisted by Kyla Schuster and Leila Leano to give Seattle U an early 1-0 advantage.

Seattle U doubled its lead in the 23rd minute when Katie Piburn found the back of the net for her fourth goal of the season. Wilson provided the assist, capping a first half in which the Redhawks outshot San Diego, 11-5, and put four shots on target.

The Redhawks continued to apply pressure after halftime. Wilson struck again in the 60th minute, this time with assists from Sydney Grundland Lanuza and U'i Kaaihue, to make it 3-0. Just 90 seconds later, Seattle U added a fourth goal on a San Diego own goal.

It was the first career brace for Wilson and brought her season total to six, which moves her into a tie with Kaaihue for the team lead.

Goalkeeper Kassidy Kirgan earned the win after making two saves across 76:07, before Rachael Remnet finished the shutout with a save in the final 13:53.

The Redhawks have now outscored their opponents 26-4 in home matches this season, posting a 7-0-1 mark at Championship Field.

Seattle U will look to keep the good times rolling into the weekend as they travel to Stockton, Calif., to face Pacific on Saturday, Oct. 10.
