SEATTLE - The Seattle University women's golf team will be hosting their second tournament of the season this week, with the annual Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational at Tacoma Country & Golf Club in Tacoma, Wash. The tournament will take place October 5-6, with a 8 a.m. shotgun start on both days of competition.

All eight members of the team will be competing, with Zoe Rubichon, Blayne Brown, Alayna Rafique, Carly Ikei and Melissa Gilloz making up the scoring lineup. Meanwhile, Ayesha Baron, Niya Friesen and Jeanne Padillo will be competing as individuals. 

Rubichon earned her number one spot in the lineup, having placed third overall at the Red Bandanna Invitational to lead the Redhawks to a second place team finish. She shot +4 over, 220 with a best round of even par, 72 in the third round.

Sophomore Brown similarly earned her spot, placing 10th at the Red Bandanna Invitational with +10 over, 226, marking her fourth top-10 finish in her young career. 

Alayna Rafique will look to follow up a strong collegiate debut at the Red Bandanna Invitational, in which she placed 13th with +13 over, 229 and improving her score with every round, starting at +6 over, 78 and ending with a third round of +3 over, 75. 

Carly Ikei will be making her second appearance as a Redhawk, last competing in the Leadership and Golf Invitational in mid September. 

Melissa Gilloz will be following up her solid appearance in the Red Bandanna Invitational, in which she placed 35th overall with a best round of +5 over, 77.

This will be Baron's and Friesen's second appearances of the season, having also competed in the Leadership and Golf Invitational as individuals.

Padillo was previously Seattle's strongest competitior at the Leadership and Golf Invitational, placing 27th overall and tying her career-best round of -2 under, 70.

The Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational has been hosted annually since 2014 in honor of the Washington Sports and Seattle University Hall of Fame golfer of the same name.
