REDHAWK HEADLINES

ALL-TIME RECORD
Saturday’s matchup marks the fourth meeting between Seattle U and Loyola Marymount, with the all-time series tied at 1-1-1. The Redhawks claimed a 2-0 victory in last season’s meeting in Los Angeles, with Kyla Schuster and Caroline Penner finding the back of the net. Kassidy Kirgan recorded three saves to secure the shutout.

LAST TIME OUT
The Redhawks extended their home unbeaten streak to 13 matches, dating back to last season, with a 1-1 draw against Santa Clara on Wednesday. After the Broncos struck early in the second half, U’i Kaaihue delivered a rocket from outside the box to level the score and secure a point for Seattle U.

NO PLACE LIKE CHAMP
The Redhawks have established one of the nation’s strongest home-field advantages, going 7-0-2 at Championship Field while outscoring opponents 27-5. Seattle U has also recorded five shutouts across those nine matches.

REDHAWKS PICKED 5th IN PRESEASON POLL
The Redhawks were picked fifth in the preseason coaches’ poll entering their second season in the West Coast Conference. Seattle U finished tied for fourth with Gonzaga last season, while U’i Kaaihue was the lone Redhawk selected to the preseason All-WCC Team.

CONTRIBUTIONS ALL AROUND
Seattle U boasts five players among the conference’s top 10 in points: U’i Kaaihue, Kailee Wilson, Kyla Schuster, Leila Leano, and Katie Piburn. Kaaihue and Wilson lead the Redhawks’ balanced attack, tied for third in the conference with 20 points apiece.

SCHUSTER KEEPS ON ASSISTING
Kyla Schuster continues to pace the conference with eight assists this season, leading a dominant Seattle U presence atop the leaderboard. U’i Kaaihue and Kailee Wilson sit just behind her with six assists apiece, giving the Redhawks the conference’s top three spots in the category.

KIRGAN SECURES 35th CAREER WIN
Kassidy Kirgan picked up her 35th career victory at Pacific last week, continuing an impressive collegiate career. The senior has recorded exactly 10 wins in each of her first three seasons and ranks second in career victories in Seattle U’s Division I program history.

BREAKOUT YEAR FOR PIBURN
Senior Katie Piburn is enjoying a breakout 2026 campaign, more than doubling her career point total with four goals and one assist for nine points this season. In her first three seasons with the program, Piburn tallied just one goal and two assists, making her offensive surge a key boost for the Redhawks.
