SEATTLE - Celebrating the fuel of the Pacific Northwest, Seattle University volleyball (3-8, 0-1 WCC) welcomes San Francisco (8-7, 0-2 WCC) to First Hill for International Coffee Day at the Redhawk Center on Thursday evening. First 40 fans in attendance will receive free coffee courtesy of Hola Cafe.

Three Redhawks rank within the top-26 in kills across the West Coast Conference this season, with senior Adee Butler leading the trio with 92 kills through 11 matches. Fellow senior Teagan Melton sits right behind with 90 kills in 10 matches while sophomore Chloee Leslie rounds out the group with 89 kills.

Guiding the offense is junior Grace Jones, who has tallied 195 assists in 11 matches. The setter ranks 12th in the WCC in assists, while sitting 13th in assists per set with five. Sophomore Bella Jones sits within the top-15 in the conference alongside Grace, handing out 4.04 assists per set with 109 total on the year.

Junior Hailey McEllrath leads the Redhawks from the service line, posting 13 aces this year. Her 0.37 aces per set ranks 10th amongst the WCC. The middle blocker aids on the defensive end, posting 24.0 blocks on the season.

Sophomore Lexi Jones paces Seattle U’s block, ranking seventh in the WCC with 44.0 blocks in 11 matches. Jones ranks third in the league with eight solo blocks, while also claiming third in blocks per set (1.29), a mark that ranks 60th in the nation.

Aiding the defense is freshman Janae Demant, who paces the team with 135 digs. The libero sits 13th in the WCC in total digs while her 3.46 digs per set ranks eighth in the conference. 

The Redhawks sit third in the WCC in solo blocks, recording 24 in 11 matches. They sit fifth in the conference in aces per set, averaging 1.38.

Seattle U and San Francisco meet for the ninth time in program history dating back to the start of the series in 2008. The pair split their first WCC matches a season ago, with the Redhawks claiming their first ever victory in WCC play against the Dons. That win was the first contest held in Seattle, putting the Redhawks up 1-0 in the series on First Hill. The Dons pace the all-time series 6-2 after securing the second meeting between the two teams in 2025.

Following Thursday’s contest, the Redhawks remain home through the weekend, hosting Santa Clara on Saturday. Seattle U welcomes the Broncos for its Pink Match.
