ALL-TIME RECORD
Saturday’s matchup marks the fourth all-time meeting between Seattle U and San Francisco, with the Redhawks holding a 2-1 advantage in the series. Seattle U’s lone loss came in the teams’ first meeting in 2009. Last season marked their first meeting as conference rivals, with the Redhawks earning a 2-1 win on The Hilltop. U’i Kaaihue scored twice in the victory, with Kailee Wilson assisting on one of the goals.

Seattle U shut out Cal Poly, 2-0, last Saturday at Championship Field. The Redhawks were powered by a career-first brace from Katie Piburn, while Kassidy Kirgan made three saves to record her second clean sheet of the season.

The Redhawks were picked fifth in the preseason coaches’ poll entering their second season in the West Coast Conference. Seattle U finished tied for fourth with Gonzaga last season, while U’i Kaaihue was the lone Redhawk selected to the preseason All-WCC Team.
PIBURN NAMED PLAYER OF THE WEEK
After recording her first career brace and scoring her first two goals since her freshman season, Katie Piburn was named the West Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Week. It marks Piburn’s first weekly honor and makes her the third Redhawk to earn conference recognition this season, joining U’i Kaaihue and Kailee Wilson.
KAAIHUE LEADS WCC IN POINTS
U’i Kaaihue has recorded five goals and five assists for 15 points this season, tying Pepperdine’s Julia Quinonez for the WCC scoring lead. Kaaihue is just four points shy of her career-high 19 points, set last season.
KIRGAN SOLIDIFYING PLACE IN RECORD BOOK
Goalkeeper Kassidy Kirgan recorded her 19th career shutout Saturday, further cementing her place in the Seattle U record book. She ranks second in program history in all major goalkeeping categories, trailing only Brianna Smallidge (2012–15) in each.
SCHUSTER ON RECORD PACE
Kyla Schuster’s six assists this season lead the WCC and rank 10th nationally. With 16 career assists in 49 games (0.33 per game), Schuster is on a record-setting pace in Seattle U history, trailing only Stephanie Verdoia for the highest assists-per-game average in the program’s NCAA Division I era. Verdoia holds the record at 0.36 assists per game.
