SAN BRUNO, Calif. — Seattle U women's soccer midfielder Katie Piburn has been named the West Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office Monday.
“I couldn’t be more proud of Katie for earning Conference Player of the Week,” Head Coach Julie Woodward said. “She is one of the hardest-working players on our team, and her versatility allows her to make an impact in so many different ways.”
Piburn powered the Redhawks to a 2-0 victory over Cal Poly on Saturday, scoring both goals in the first half to record her first career brace. The two-goal performance marked her first goals since her freshman season.

“As a senior, it’s been so incredibly rewarding to watch her grow and get better every year,” Woodward added.
The weekly honor is the first of Piburn’s collegiate career. As a freshman in 2023, she earned a spot on the Western Athletic Conference All-Freshman Team.
Piburn and the Redhawks return to action Saturday, Sept. 26, when they host San Francisco in the opening match of WCC play. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. PT at Championship Field.
