SEATTLE - Three Seattle University men's golfers were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District At-Large Team this season, announced Tuesday. The Redhawks awarded this honor are Will Koch, Walker Lamb and Ben Ragland.
This is the second academic honor Will Koch has earned this season, having been named Academic All-West Coast Conference this May. Koch was also named Academic All-Western Atheletic Conference his freshman season with the team.
This is senior Ben Ragland's first CSC Academic All-District mention, adding to his two Academic All-WAC awards (2022-23, 2023-24) as well as the Academic All-WCC Honorable Mention he earned last month.
For sophomore Walker Lamb, this is his first year of eligibility for most academic awards, and he is making his prowess known. This Academic All-Dsitrict award also follows his Academic All-WCC mention he earned to become his second academic award of both the season and his collegiate career.
In order to be eligible for this award, student athletes must have at least a 3.50 GPA while being at least a sophomore in academic standing. They must also compete in at least 75% of their team's scored competitions or be in the lineup for their conference's championship tournament.
