PORTLAND, ORE. — Seku Sanders broke Seattle U’s all-time men’s 800m record over the weekend.

Sound familiar?

Last month, Sanders set the record for a second time, running a 1:48.75 at the Bryan Clay Invitational.

Saturday night, Sanders rewrote the history books once again. He ran a 1:48.70, finishing first place among competitors in the high performance race of the Stumptown Running West Coast Twilight.

Osaze Williams also set a personal best in the same race, running a 1:50.66 to improve upon the third-fastest time in Seattle U history. Williams holds Seattle U’s all-time indoor 800m record.

They weren’t the only Redhawks to make the most of the final weekend of the regular season.

On the women’s side, Lydia Dale ran the 3000m steeplechase in 11:14.20, setting her PR by over 12 seconds and recording the sixth-fastest time in school history.

In the men’s 800m open, Riley Tricas finished first among 10 competitors with a 1:54.59 time, while Diego Razo-Castaneda set a PR at 2:00.01.

Jeremy Posdon (3:55.52) set a PR in the men’s 1500m high performance race, while Porter Buck (4:02.19) set his PR and finished second in the men’s 1500m open.

Earlier in the week, the Redhawks competed at the George Fox University Final Qualifier, held May 13-14 in Portland, Ore.

In the men’s steeplechase, Jeremy Posdon ran a PR of 9:19.16 to improve his fourth-fastest time in school history. Dan Barreto also set a PR with a 9:42.68 time to improve his 10th best time in Redhawk history.

In the women’s 1500m, Sierra Swart set a PR with a 5:00.16.

The weekend wrapped up the regular season for Seattle U, with 13 current marks on the all-time top 10 list set from the 2026 season.
