REDHAWK HEADLINES
SERIES HISTORY
The Redhawks are 2-1 in the all-time series with Gonzaga, with their first meeting dating back to the 2018 season. Last season the two sides split a home-and-home series with both road teams getting the win.
OFFENSE EXPLODES IN PULLMAN
Seattle U scored 12 runs on 11 hits in Tuesday’s win over Washington State. It is the ninth time this season that the Redhawks have scored 10+ runs, as they hold a 7-2 record in those games.
TOUGH SERIES WITH THE BRONCOS
Seattle U was swept in their West Coast Conference series with Santa Clara over the weekend. The Redhawks now hold a 1-game lead over the Broncos for the final spot in the WCC tournament.
WORK TO BE DONE
Not only does Seattle U hold a slim 1-game lead in the WCC standings over Santa Clara, but they also enter the final week of the regular season tied with Portland at 11-13. The Redhawks hold the tie breaker with the Pilots thanks to their head-to-head series win in April.
ENDING ON THE ROAD
The Redhawks will close out the 2026 regular season with a 4-game trip through Eastern Washington. These will be the first D-I road games for SU outside the state of California this season.
KNOWLES’ HISTORIC SEASON
Coming into the final week of the regular season, Payton Knowles is chasing multiple top 5 entries in the program’s record book. For a single season he currently ranks 6th in batting average (.346), 5th in slugging (.534), and 5th in on base percentage (.452).
HALE TIES PROGRAM RECORD
Royce Hale tied a single game program record when he drove in seven runs in Tuesday’s win over Washington State. The junior tied Vicente Feliciano, who had seven vs Saint Martin’s last year.
SMITH STANDS ALONE
Blake Smith secured his 3rd save of the season and the 5th of his career on Tuesday. He is the only modern Redhawk (since 2010) to rank top 10 in wins and saves in program history.
FARRELL & HAMMER WITH THE HEAT
Travis Farrell and Kale Hammer are just shy of both cracking the single season top 10 for strikeouts heading into their final starts of the regular season. 65 would tie Jake Prizina in 2017, while Skyler Genger (120) and Tarik Skubal (106) are the only two Redhawks to eclipse the century mark in a season.
