BELLEVUE, WA - Seattle U baseball dropped their series finale with Portland, 0-3, Saturday afternoon at Bannerwood Park. All three runs in the ballgame came in the top of the 1st, as the Redhawks could not bounce back from the early deficit.

Micah Hagler (2-4) took the loss on the mound despite a solid outing. He went six innings while giving up all three runs in the 1st inning. Jake Morell and Blake Smith both had scoreless appearances out of the pen.

Seattle U offensively was limited to just two hits and were held off the board in a conference game for the first time this season. Kenneth Rhein and Jake Beauchaine picked up the lone hits, as the Redhawks stranded six runners in their comeback attempt.

The loss drops SU to 8-19 overall and to 4-5 in WCC play. Despite the loss, they still took the series with Portland after getting wins in games one and two. The Redhawks will be back on the diamond this Tuesday, April 7, when they host British Columbia.
