SAN DIEGO, CA = Behind a perfect 4-for-4 day at the plate by Payton Knowles, Seattle U baseball took down San Diego, 11-6, Saturday night. The Redhawks outhit the Toreros 17-7 on their way to the series win.

Despite jumping out to an early 2-run lead in the top of the 2nd, the Redhawks found themselves down by four heading into the top of the 4th. They would then go on to score nine unanswered runs to rally and take the game.

Knowles finished his perfect day at the plate with three extra base hits and drove in a season-high four runs. Royce Hale and Jake Beauchaine both had home runs, while Brandon Stinnett, Kenneth Rhein, and Tyler Horner also drove in runs.

Kale Hammer had a no-decision in his 9th start of the year, allowing five earned over 4.2 IP. Like Alwood (1-3) earned the win as he finished the final 4.1 innings while not allowing a run and striking out five Toreros.

The win extends the Redhawks season-best win streak to six and moves them to 14-19 on the season. Their conference mark also improves to 9-5, as they secured their 4th series win in the WCC. They will try to make it back-to-back conference series sweeps in game three tomorrow, with Micah Hagler scheduled to make the start.
