BELLEVUE, WA - Seattle U walked-off a 12-inning thriller with Loyola Marymount, 7-6, Sunday afternoon at Bannerwood Park. After letting a 4-run lead slip away, the Redhawks fought back in extras to secure the series sweep.

Seattle U jumped out to a quick lead when Tyler Horner hit a 3-run home run, followed by a Jake Beauchaine RBI single all in the 1st inning. The momentum would swing to the visitors after, as they scored 4-unanswered between the 2nd and 5th to tie the game.

After a scoreless 6th, the Lions jumped ahead in the 7th. The Redhawks would answer in the bottom of the 9th when a Ryder Manale double was followed up by an RBI single from Brandon Stinnett to force extras.

Once again, it would be the Lions jumping to a lead when they scored a run in the 12th, and like clockwork SU responded in the bottom half of the inning. Payton Knowles would tie the game on an RBI single, before Kenneth Rhein walked it off with an infield dribbler that just stayed fair on the first base line, allowing Cash Erdman to come home.

The win secured the series sweep over LMU; the first conference series sweep for the Redhawks since 2019. Seattle U improved to 12-19 overall and to 7-5 in the WCC.
