BELLEVUE, WA - Seattle U baseball dropped game two of their series with Jackson State, 12-13, Saturday afternoon at Bannerwood Park. The Redhawks had a chance to send the game to extras with a runner on second with just one out but couldn't get closer than 90ft as their rally fell short.

Seattle U trailed 7-13 heading to their half of the 8th. With the bases loaded, Jared Stevenson would single, Payton Knowles would hit a sacrifice fly, and Hunter Komine would ground out as all three picked up an RBI.

Now trailing by just three, Kenneth Rhein would get ahold of his first Redhawk home run, a 2-run blast over the left field fence. Despite the momentum, that would be the closest SU would get.

On the mound, Kale Hammer had a no-decision after going three innings and allowing three earned on six hits. Isaac Hallam (0-2) was credited with the loss as he also allowed three earned through two innings of relief.

The loss drops Seattle U to 2-12 on the season and gives visiting Jackson State the series win. The Redhawks will look to avoid the sweep in the series finale tomorrow, March 8 at T-Mobile Park. First pitch is scheduled for 2:00pm PT with Micah Hagler set to make the start.
