SEATTLE – The Seattle University men's and women's track and field team will make its mark across the West Coast in the 2026 outdoor season.

The Redhawks will stay in the Pacific Northwest to begin the season, competing in the Ed Boitano Invite in Tacoma, Wash., on March 6-7. The two-day event is hosted by the University of Puget Sound.

They’ll head back to Tacoma the following weekend for the PLU Invite, hosted by Pacific Lutheran University from March 13-14. It’ll be the Redhawks’ second straight year competing in the event; Seattle U opened the 2025 outdoor season with five new all-time top-10 times in school history at the PLU Invite.

Then, the Redhawks will head south to Corvallis, Ore., for the two-day PNW Invite hosted by Oregon State University from March 20-21. The PNW Invite will be the first of two times Seattle U will travel to Corvallis.

The team will head to the Bay Area the first weekend of April for a split competition, competing in both the Stanford Invite in Palo Alto, Calif., and the Mike Fanelli Track Classic in San Francisco, each held from April 3-4. Seattle U is experienced with each event, having competed in both in 2025. Last year’s trip to the Bay was a success for the Redhawks, yielding nine new Seattle U all-time top-10 marks.

For those not making the trip to California, Seattle U will also compete in the Whitworth Peace Meet on April 3, a one-day event in Spokane, Wash.

The Redhawks will return to familiar venues with a split competition between the Bryan Clay Invite in Azusa, Calif., and the Larry Byerly Invite in Portland, Ore. Both competitions, held by Azusa Pacific University and Lewis & Clark University, respectively, are two-day events from April 17-18.

After a weekend off, Seattle U will complete its second leg of Corvallis meets with the OSU High Performance Meet, hosted by Oregon State University from May 1-2. Last year’s OSU High Performance Meet saw current assistant coach Alex Jensen break the 800 meter school record, and current junior JR Zamora set the second-longest long jump in Seattle U history.

One-day events in Oregon will follow, with a return to the Oregon Twilight on May 8 in Eugene, and a new event with the Portland Twilight on May 9 in Portland, Ore.

The George Fox University Final Qualifier will be held in Newberg, Ore., from May 13-14, providing student athletes with one more chance to qualify for the NCAA West Regionals, held in Fayetteville, Ark., from May 27-30.
