SEATTLE, WA - Seattle U baseball dropped their rematch with Washington, 4-7, Tuesday night at Husky Ballpark.
Doubles were the name of the game for the Redhawks on Montlake, tallying seven of them. Five of those were hit by Kenneth Rhein (3-4, 3 2B, RBI) and Sebastian Lopez (2-4, 2 2B, RBI) who kept their recent stretch of hot hitting going. Despite all the extra base hits, the Redhawks were still limited to just four runs on eight total hits.
Luke Alwood (0-3) was credited with the loss after going three innings while allowing four earned on seven hits in the start. Jake Morell (3.0 IP, 4 K), Isaac Hallam (0.2 IP), and Harrison Hoffarth (0.2 IP) all had scoreless outings from the pen.
The loss drops the Redhawks to 3-13 on the season and evens the season series with the Huskies at 1-1, with a pair of meetings scheduled for Bannerwood Park later in the year.
Next up for SU will be a 2-game series with Central Washington starting Saturday, March 14.
