NORTHRIDGE, CA - Seattle U dropped game three of their series with CSUN, 6-15, Sunday afternoon in California.
The Redhawks picked up their second home run of the season, this one off the bat of Jake Beauchaine (1-4, 2 RBI) who went deep for a 2-run shot in the 8th. Kenneth Rhein kept his hot start to the season by going 2-3 with an RBI to end the series going 6-8 with two batted in. Jared Stevenson also had a multi-hit game after coming in off the bench, going 2-2 with a run scored and RBI.
Micah Hagler (0-1) was credited with the loss, going 1.1 IP while allowing six earned on five hits. Luke Alwood, Jake Morell, Blake Smith, and Ryan Stone all made relief appearances out of the pen.
The loss drops the Redhawks to 0-3 to start the new season, as they were swept by the Matadors. They will look to bounce back as they stay in Southern California and open a 4-game series with former conference foe California Baptist on Thursday, February 19.
