TUCSON, Ariz. - The Seattle University women's golf team has officially begun the spring tournament season, competing in the 54-hole Thunderbird Intercollegiate hosted by the University of Arizona on Monday and Tuesday.
For the first time in her young college career, freshman Zoe Rubichon was the top Redhawk finisher, carding +14 over, 230 for 32nd place.
Sophomore Melissa Gilloz had the second-best result, with +15 over, 231, good for 42nd place.
Tsara Ralamboarison finished just outside the top 50 with +18 over, 234. Blayne Brown carded +22 over, 238 for 61st place, and Aaryanna Morris finished in 79th with +36 over, 252.
As a team, the Redhawks placed 13th out of 15.
Seattle U returns to competition at the Causeway Invitational in Sacramento, Calif., from February 23-24.
