SEATTLE - Seattle U men's soccer held on for a senior day victory. defeating San Francisco, 3-2, Friday night at Championship Field. The Redhawks raced out to a two-goal lead through the first half but had to fight off a late Don comeback bid to secure the victory.
Seattle U opened the scoring in the 15th when Lars Thorne-Thomsen scored his fourth goal of the season courtesy of the set up from Andre Philibbosian and Luke Hammond. Just three minutes later it would be Edgar Leon scoring his second of the campaign, assisted by Eiji Hata.
San Francisco would break up the Redhawk run with one of their own in the 21st. SU responded when Leon set up the third goal of the match when he worked the two-man game with Brice Miller. It was the first collegiate goal for the freshman forward.

After taking the two-goal lead into the break, the Redhawks would maintain their advantage until the 81st when the Dons picked up their second of the match. Seattle U would then have to hold off a barrage of shots from the visitors, including a flurry in the final minute of the match.
Charlie Lanphier was called on to make five big saves in the match as the Redhawks were outshot by the Dons 7-25. Despite the pressure, the senior would hold on for the victory, the 25th of his career. His win total ranks 5th all-time in program history.
The Redhawks end the 2025 season with a record of 4-7-6 and end their inaugural run in the West Coast Conference with a 2-4-3 mark.
