UNIVERSITY PLACE, Wash. - The Seattle University Redhawks hit the ground running at the Leadership & Golf Invitational, opening the season with a program-best sixth-place finish.
Tsara Ralamboarison was the Redhawks' top finisher at 16th overall with a +4 over 220 (74, 72, 74) across the three rounds. Ralamboarison was followed closely by freshman Blayne Brown, finishing in 18th with a +5 over 221 (75, 72, 74) in her first collegiate tournament.
Aaryanna Morris finished the tournament with a +11 over 227, accompanied by Jeanne Padillo's +12 over 228. Freshman Zoe Rubichon finished her collegiate debut at +22 over 238.
As a team, the Redhawks finished at a +32 over, tying with Grand Canyon University for 6th place in a field of 16 teams. Seattle U tallied a tournament-best four eagles, including two by Brown, one by Rubichon and one by Morris.
The Redhawks next compete at the Eagle Invitational on September 22 and 23 in Spokane, Wash.
