SEATTLE - The Seattle University Redhawks head to their final meet before the Western Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships, taking part in the Oregon Twilight Meet on May 9 in Eugene, Oregon.

The Oregon Twilight Meet will be just one day and is Seattle U's second consecutive meet in Oregon. Last week, the Redhawks took part in the Oregon State High Performance Meet. There, the Redhawks set 12 new all-time top-ten times in the Seattle U record book.

Alex Jensen (800m), Rachel Albright (Hammer), Lilianne Hargreaves (800m), Alisha Saucedo (800m), Rock Gignac (Javelin & 110m Hurdles), Manthita Wague (Triple Jump), Annabelle Clapp (400m), and Taylor Marks (100m) all individually recorded new top-ten times. The 4x400m Relay team of Marks, Clapp, Kristina Shkalenkova, and Hargreaves ran the seventh-best time in school history as well with a 3:56.09. Jensen set a new 800m school record for the second straight meet, running a 1:50.33 that shaved .30 seconds off his own school record.

The Redhawks previously competed at Oregon earlier this year, taking part in the Oregon Preview Meet in late March. There, it was Seku Sanders who broke the 800m school record, only for Jensen to beat that mark later in the year. Matthew Fiso, Sean Ellison, and Lilianne Hargreaves all set new top-ten times at that meet as well.

This is the second year in a row that Seattle U has ended the regular season at the Oregon Twilight Meet. Last season, Manthita Wague recorded the sixth-best triple jump in SU history, a mark she has since surpassed and now sits in third all-time.

The WAC Outdoor Championships begin May 15 and will be in Arlington, Texas this year.
