SANTA BARBARA, Calif.– In the final regular season competition, the Seattle University Redhawks shined, shooting +4 overall and finishing sixth among 11 teams at the UC Santa Barbara Invitational. Kevin Li led the way with a score of -4, good for fifth overall.
It was another impressive competition for Li, who shot -4 overall and was under par in all three rounds. Li's best round was a -2 under, 70 in round two, bookended by -1 under, 71 scores in rounds one and three. In all, Li had 16 birdies across three rounds.
Ben Ragland and Conrad Chisman each had one round under par as well. Ragland and Chisman both shot -1 under, 71 in round two. Ragland shot +3 overall, with rounds of +3 over, 75 and +1 over, 73 in rounds one and three. Chisman bounced back from a +7 over, 79 round one to shoot -1 under, 71 and +1 over, 73 in rounds two and three. Chisman had seven birdies across his final 36 holes, including three consecutive birdies on holes 15-17 in round three.
Walker Lamb tied Ragland for 21st overall, the second-best finish among Redhawks after Li. Lamb shot +3 over across 54 holes. He shot +1 over, 73 every round and has now shot 73 in five consecutive rounds.
Will Koch had two rounds of +2 over, 74 sandwiching a +1 over, 73 in round two. Koch has just one round worse than +2 over his last six.
The UC Santa Barbara Invitational wraps up the regular season. The Redhawks head off to the Western Athletic Conference Tournament next, which begins April 25 in Payson, Arizona.
