ARLINGTON, Texas - For the second consecutive year, Rivekka Jumagulova took home Western Athletic Conference year-end honors, earning All-WAC First Team. This is Jumagulova's third All-WAC award, having also earned All-WAC Second Team in 2023.
Jumagulova joins Samantha Bruce as the only Redhawks ever to earn multiple All-WAC First Team awards. Jumagulova and Bruce are also the only Redhawks ever to earn three All-WAC honors in their careers. Jumagulova has done so each of the last three seasons, earning All-WAC First Team last year and this year. Brucey earned All-WAC First Team in 2022 and 2023 and earned All-WAC Second Team in 2021.
Jumagulova is one of four Redhawks ever to earn All-WAC First Team. Jumagulova, Bruce, Dorsey Addicks (2016), and Ellen Brantberg (2016) have all been so honored by the WAC.
This season, Jumagulova won two tournaments individually, becoming the first Redhawk since Cairlin McCleary won four in 2011-12. Jumagulova is now tied with McCleary for the most individual tournament wins in Redhawks history with four.
In addition to the tournament wins at the Harbottle Invitational and Portland State Invitational, Jumagulova had seven rounds of 70 or lower, including a -5 under, 67 that was the fifth-lowest round to par in Seattle U history. At the Harbottle Invitational, Jumagulova finished at -13 across 54 rounds, the lowest 54-round score in Seattle U history, besting Jumagulova's own record for the 2024 Bobcat Desert Classic of -12.
