Reid Madariaga would pitch the final inning, looking for his first save of the season. After a couple of Thunderbirds scored on their own 2-run home run, Madariaga shut the door on the victory.

Brady Liddle, who started the game, went 4.1 IP and allowed just one run and struck out two. Kaden Alberghini (1-0) picked up his first win of the season by going 3.2 IP also allowing just one earned.

The victory moves the Redhawks to 10-18 on the season and improves their home record to 8-4. They will be back in conference play this weekend when they open a 3-game set with Tarleton State starting Friday, April 4.
