OCALA, FL - Seattle U men's swimming continued their strong post season performance through two days at the National Invitational Championship in Florida. Danielis Kvederis and the relay teams have shined and have the Redhawks in 5th with a day remaining.
DAY ONE
During day one, the 200 freestyle and 400 medley relay teams scored and both went third best in program history. The 200 team of Hawkins Wendt, Cole Lanting, Henning Colsman, and Nicholas Imig finished with a time of 1:20.70 which was good for 9th. The 400 team of Danielis Kvederis, Nathan Headon-Weeks, Lanting, and Imig finished in 14th with a time of 3:16.01.
Kvederis scored in the 50 backstroke with a time of 22.44, and Imig finished with a time of 20.37 in the 50 freestyle to also score.

DAY TWO
The Redhawks started day two by finishing 9th and setting the record in the 200 medley relay. Kvederis, Imig, Lanting, and Wendt finished with a time of 1:27.93. Colsman, Brendan Ryan, Headon-Weeks, and Lee took 17th in the 800 freestyle relay.
Kvederis just missed the podium with a 4th place finish in the 100 backstroke (47.29).
Seattle U currently sits in 15th in overall points heading into the final day of the event.

DAY THREE
Seattle U continued to break records into the final day of the NIC, with three new program marks being set.
Cole Lanting was up first, setting the record in the 100 individual medley with a time of 50.33, followed by Nicholas Imig in the 100 freestyle at 43.67. The relay team of Lanting, Kvederis, Wendt, and Imig also set the program record in the 400 freestyle with a finish of 2:56.98.
Overall the Redhawks finished 15th as a team, competing with some of the top teams in Division I.
