USAFA, CO. - Seattle U men's soccer remained undefeated in Western Athletic (WAC) play when they shutout Air Force, 2-0, Sunday afternoon in Colorado. Yeider Zuluaga and Titus Washington both score and Charlie Lanphier made four saves as the Redhawks flied higher than the Falcons.
Zuluaga's goal in the 21st minute wasn't just the opener but was also the first of the season for the sophomore out of Cali, Columbia. The goal was unassisted and was the only one scored in the first half of play.
Washington would connect with Jeremy Opong for the lone goal in the second half in the 61st minute. Opong sent a pass to the far post to a waiting Washington who scored his team leading fifth goal of the season.
The defense also shined on the day, as Seattle U picked up their first shutout of the 2024 season. Lanphier was not called into action much on the day, but his four saves secured his sixth career clean sheet.
