MONTEREY, Calif. - The Seattle University Redhawks had Kevin Li finish in the top 20 as an individual at the Leadership & Golf Invitational. The Redhawks started strong with a -2 score as a team in round one. With fog rolling in for the rest of the tournament, the Redhawks would finish at +19 as a team, good for ninth place.
Li was Seattle University's top finisher at +1 across 54 holes. Li had rounds of -3 under, 72 and -2 under, 70, giving him scores under par in six of his last eight rounds. Will Koch, competing independently, finished at +3 overall. That score was boosted by his -1 under, 71 in round two.
Walker Lamb started the invitational with a -2 under, 70 in round one, his lowest round of the season thus far. He would finish the tournament at +5 overall, with scores of +3 over, 75 and +4 over, 76 in rounds two and three.
Ben Ragland had an even-par round two and finished at +7 overall. Liam Gill would record a +8 score across 54 holes, with his best round a +1 over, 73 in round one. Conrad Chisman ended the tournament with a score of +13.
There will be just one day off between competitions for the Redhawks as they finish up the fall season. Seattle University competes in the Monterrey Collegiate Classic in Monterrey, Mexico beginning October 25. That tournament will see two days of 27 holes each at the Club Campestre golf course.
