Redhawks Drop Battle with Aztecs

SAN DIEGO - Seattle U men's soccer dropped their battle with San Diego State, 1-2, Thursday afternoon in California. After going into the break level, the Aztecs scored the lone goal of the second to knock off the Redhawks for their first conference loss since the 2022 season.

SAN DIEGO - Seattle U men's soccer dropped their battle with San Diego State, 1-2, Thursday afternoon in California. After going into the break level, the Aztecs scored the lone goal of the second to knock off the Redhawks for their first conference loss since the 2022 season. 

Edgar Leon was on the end of the Seattle U goal, scoring his 4th of the season in the 28th minute. Titus Washington and Richy Lapointe-Guevara both were credited with an assist on the goal.

The loss drops the Redhawks to 6-4-3 on the season and gives them their first conference blemish of the year (3-1-1). They will be back in action this Sunday, Oct. 20, when they head to Riverside for a showdown with California Baptist. Kickoff between the Redhawks and Lancers is scheduled for 4:00pm PT.
