SEATTLE - Seattle U volleyball has signed Nia Johnson to its 2024 class, Head Coach Dan Behnke announced on Monday.

"Nia will be a great addition to our squad," said Behnke. "She's incredibly quick and we anticipate her making a lot of plays for us in the backcourt."

The libero/defensive specialist heads to the Emerald City after four seasons as a varsity starter for Mansfield Timberview High School in Arlingon, Texas. Johnson helped lead the Wolves' squad to playoff appearances three times and claimed first and second team all-district awards during her time there. Johnson played for Ace (2018-20), Drive Nation (2020-21, 2023-24) and 360 (2021-23) on the club circuit while attending Mansfield Timberview.

She plans to major in computer science during her time at Seattle U.

Johnson joins Anae Asuncion, Ivy Brown, Grace Jones and Brooklyn Stearns as the fifth signing to the 2024 class.
