BELLEVUE, WA - Seattle U baseball lost a high scoring affair with UT Arlington, 10-13, Friday afternoon at Bannerwod Park. Seven different Redhawks drove in at least one run, but the offense could not completely dig out of an early 9-run deficit.
To go with the seven Redhawks who picked up an RBI, there were nine who recorded at least one hit. Grant Heiser led the way with a 3-for-5 day at the plate, including a solo home run in the 5th inning. It was Heiser's 16th career home run, tying him with Justin Mazzone for 4th all-time in program history.
Luke Alwood (1-6) was credited with the loss after going 1 2/3 IP while giving up seven earned.
The loss drops the Redhawks to 14-34 overall and to 7-18 in conference play. They will look to even the series with the Mavericks tomorrow in game two of the series, with first pitch scheduled for 11am PT.
