BELLEVUE, WA - Seattle U baseball fell to Washington, 3-14, Tuesday afternoon at Bannerwood Park. The Redhawks held a 2-run lead after seven innings of play, but the Huskies scored 13 runs in the top of the 8th to take the game and the season series.
Sam Kane, Jackson Reed, and Hunter Komine each knocked in one of the three runs on the day for the Redhawk offense. Kane was joined by Derek Gellos, Brandon Stinnett, and Grant Heiser with multi-hit games. Despite being outscored by 11, the Redhawks had the same amount of hits as the Huskies with 12.
Ryan Morrison (0-1) was credited with the loss for the Redhawks, coming on in relief in the 8th and giving up three earned.
The loss drops the Redhawks to 12-28 on the season and snaps their 4-game winning streak. They will be back in action this weekend when they host Grand Canyon for a 3-game conference series starting Friday.
