ARLINGTON, Tex. - Rivekka Jumagulova and Marc Chandonnet of Seattle University's women's golf have been named Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Player and Coach of the Year, respectively, as the conference released it's year end honors on Wednesday.

Becoming the program's first WAC Player of the Year, Jumagulova enjoyed a historic season on the course by setting a new program record in single-season scoring average at 73.1 (according to clippd). The junior was vital in the program earning its first WAC Championship this past weekend, placing sixth overall at 11-over 224 (72-75-77). The native of Almaty, Kazakhstan, entered the WAC Championships playing at her best level, snatching the last two WAC weekly honors and setting a new program record for lowest 54 hole total (12-under, 204) to capture her second career individual title at the Bobcat Desert Classic. In addition to being named WAC Player of the Year, Jumagulova also takes home First Team All-WAC honors.

This marks Chandonnet's second career WAC Coach of the Year honor and first on the women's side. Chandonnet also earned this award when he lead the men's program to their first-ever WAC men's golf title back during the 2016-17 season.

Joining Jumagulova on an All-WAC team, Tsara Ralamboarison was named on the All-WAC Second Team for her first career All-WAC award. The native of Eybens, France, tied for the fourth best single-season scoring average at 74.4 (according to clippd), improving her average from last season by over a stroke. Ralamboarison's strong second round of one-over 72 was key to the Redhawks claiming their first-ever WAC Championships as she finished as one of four Redhawks inside of the top-15.

The Redhawks were selected as the 12th seed at the Cle Elum NCAA Regional this morning, opening first round play on May 6 at Tumble Creek Club in Cle Elum, Washington.
