ARLINGTON, TX - Seattle U student athletes were well represented for Academic All-WAC in the 2024 Winter quarter, with 42 Redhawks being named across six winter sports.
To be named Academic All-WAC must have completed at least one academic year, had at least a 3.2 cumulative grade-point average and participated in at least 50 percent of a team's contests. Due to freshman and transfers in fall not being able to complete a academic year during their season, they are named in the spring.
Of the winter sports, there was a 4-way tie for most representation as men's and women's basketball, women's track & field, and women's swimming all had eight student-athletes named. The 42 student-athletes named in 2024 is an increase from 2023, in which 39 Redhawks were named.
