RIVERSIDE, CA - Seattle U baseball dropped game two of their series with California Baptist, 4-9, Saturday afternoon in California. After a home run rally by the Redahwks tied the game in the 5th, the Lancers would score the final five runs to take the game and series.

"We shot ourselves in the foot today with giving up too many free bases and costly errors that led to runs," said head coach Donny Harrel. "Offense got us back in the game with the big inning, but the bullpen was not able to hold their offense down. Need to find a way to salvage a win tomorrow."

Derek Gellos would put the Redhawks on the board in the first inning, as his single would score Cole Kleckner. Gellos would then cap off a Seattle U rally in the 5th with a solo home run (2) that tied the game. Freshman Sam Kane would be responsible for the other runs on the day, as he powered his team leading 4th home run of the game right before Gellos, his a 2-run blast.

Matt Rowatt (0-3) was the first Redhawk out of the bullpen and was given the loss on the day after he went 2/3 IP and surrendered two earned runs.

With the loss, the Redhawks fall to 4-10 on the season and drop the series with the Lancers with one game left to go on the weekend. Game three from Riverside will once again have a noon first pitch tomorrow, March 10. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
