UNIVERSITY PLACE, Wash. - Seattle U men's golf hosts the 10th annual Seattle U Redhawk Invitational, starting on Monday in University Place, Wash. The two-day, 54 hole event is scheduled to be played on Apr. 1-2 at Chambers Bay Golf Course with a par of 72 and yardage of 6,993 (rounds one & two) and 6,931 (round three). Both days will feature shotgun starts, teeing off at 8 a.m.
The Redhawks will be competing against golfers from Central Michigan, Fraser Valley, George Mason, Gonzaga, Grays Harbor, Idaho, Oregon State, Sacramento State, Sacred Heart, Seton Hall, Simon Fraser, South Dakota, St. Thomas, Tarleton, University of British Columbia, UC Riverside, UC San Diego and Victoria.
All nine Seattle U golfers will compete in the event with the team lineup yet to be announced.
The tournament has featured six different team champions in its history with San Francisco, UCLA and Washington each taking the title twice. Idaho claimed the 2023 tournament with a one-over par combined score, while Jace Minni of Gonzaga shot the best three-round total (eight-under, 205) since 2019 for the medalist honors.
The tournament's 54-hole all-time low score was set in 2019 when UCLA shot 37-under par, while UCLA's Hidetoshi Yoshihara set the individual 54-hole all-time low that same year at 13-under par.
