On the mound, Blake Smith (3-2) was credited with his second loss of the season after going five innings while giving up three earned.

The loss drops the Redhawks to 7-18 on the season and into a 0-2 hole vs the Ducks in the 4-game midweek series. They will look to grab one tomorrow in game three, which is once again scheduled for a 5:05pm PT first pitch. Peter Chronowski is scheduled to make the start for SU.
