SEATTLE – Seattle U softball (11-19, 3-3 WAC) opened up a set of four straight at home on Wednesday night, falling to Oregon State, 3-5. The non-conference contest between the Redhawks and Beavers took place at Logan Field on the campus of Seattle U in Seattle.
The Redhawks began a comeback effort in the opening inning, scoring one run on a Jasmine Wehn sacrifice fly to left field. Sydney Frankenberger opened with a single down the left field line, before Tai Wilson hit a ground rule double over the left field fence.
Seattle U made it a one run game once again in the second, using a two-out Sydney Frankenberger RBI single to center field. Ava Sin was the Redhawk that came around to score, leading off the inning with a double off the center field wall.

The Redhawks continued to mount a comeback in third inning, scoring a run on a Karen Spadafora sacrifice fly to left field. Jasmine Wehn walked in the first at bat, before Taylor Fitch smacked a double into right center to put them in scoring position.

Avari Morris pitched exceptionally after entering the contest in the fifth inning, allowing just one hit over three shutout innings. The freshman allowed just one baserunner in both the fifth and sixth before sending the Beavers down in order in the seventh to give SU a chance. GAME SCORING
- First Inning: Oregon State scored two runs on one hits. Jasmine Wehn hit a sacrifice fly to left field.
- Second Inning: OSU scored one run on two hits. Sydney Frankenberger hit an RBI single to center field.
- Third Inning: The Beavers scored two runs on two hits. Karen Spadafora hit a sacrifice fly to left field.
