DENVER, Colo. - Asta Blauenfeldt, Makayla Moore and Lisa Michaelsen of Seattle University women's basketball have been named on the 2023-24 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team.
A native of Kongens Lyngby, Denmark, Blauenfeldt marks her second career academic award with this honor. The communications and media major posted a strong season on the court, setting new single game season career-highs in points (183), steals (34), assists (77), field goals made (66) and minutes (630).
Another Denmark native, Michaelsen also garners her second career academic award. The international studies major set new career-bests in points (11), rebounds (eight), assists (four) and blocks (two).
Makayla Moore enjoyed a breakout campaign in her sophomore season, setting new career-bests in points per game (11.3), rebounds per game (4.2), minutes per game (29.2) and field goals made (124). The political science major marks her second career academic award with the honor.
The 2023-24 Academic All-District Women's Basketball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes women's basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
