PHARR, TX - Seattle u men's and women's swim continued to set program records in day two of the Western Athletic Conference Swimming/Diving Championships on Thursday.

"We had some ups and downs today," said head coach Joe Dykstra. "But tons of best times and two more school records, including breaking the oldest one on our books in the men's 200 free relay. The team is very excited as a lot of our best events are yet to come over the next two days."

The Redhawks set two new school records on the day, the first coming from Danielis Kvederis in the 500 Free where he finished with a time of 4:27.11. It beats his own school record of 4:29.43 set in December of last year.

The men's 200 relay team of Nicholas Imig, Cole Lanting, Hawkins Wendt, and Daniel Strohmeyer set the school record with a finish of 1:20.43. They beat the previous record by .45 set back in 2010, as it was the oldest record still standing in the books.

Sarah Cook finished 2nd Team All-WAC in the 200 IM, with a time of 2:05.45. Imig also made 2nd Team All-WAC in the 50 free with his finish of 20.07.

Brendan Ryan (26.99) and Jaxon Gonzales (26.38) also climbed up the top-10 lists in the 200 IM, while Wendt also moved into 5th all-time in the 50 free with a finish of 20.63.

"I'm also so appreciative of all the gifts that have come to the program today during SU Gives," Dykstra added of the annual school wide fundraiser.

The Redhawks will be back in the pool tomorrow for day three of the WAC championships in Texas. Once again, the swimming portion will begin at 8:30am PT on ESPN+.
