Redhawks Fall to Wildcats in Abilene

ABILENE, Tex, - Seattle U women's basketball (1-20, 1-11 WAC) opened a two game road trip in Texas on Thursday evening, falling to Abilene Christian, 63-82. The Western Athletic Conference (WAC) took place at the Moody Coliseum in Abilene, Texas.

ABILENE, Tex, - Seattle U women's basketball (1-20, 1-11 WAC) opened a two game road trip in Texas on Thursday evening, falling to Abilene Christian, 63-82. The Western Athletic Conference (WAC) took place at the Moody Coliseum in Abilene, Texas. 

Makayla Moore lead all scorers on the night, posting 21 points on 9-for-15 from the field and finishing one rebound shy of a double-double. 

Peyton Howard marked a season-high 16 points on 7-for-15 from the field to go along with two rebounds and two steals. 

Mya Moore also finished in double figures, scoring 10 points on 4-for-6 from the field. 

HOW IT HAPPENED
Both teams went back-and-forth in the early going, as Aannah Interrante tied the contest at 10 with a three pointer halfway through the opening quarter. 

The Wildcats started to build a lead but the Redhawks wouldn't go away as a Makayla Moore's and one and a three pointer from Noemie Bariteau tied the contest on two consecutive possession in the second.

The Redhawks did their best to get back into the contest in the second half but were unable to overcome the early deficit.
