SAN JOSE, CA. - Seattle U baseball lost game three of their series with San Jose State, 6-8, Sunday afternoon in California. The Redhawks put up a late rally, but fell short as they dropped the series with the Spartans.

Sam Kane powered the Redhawks to an early 3-1 lead with his first two collegiate home runs, a solo shot in the 1st and a 2-run blast in the 4th. The freshman from Reno now leads the team in home runs, RBI (8), and total bases (20).

SO NICE, KANE HAD TO DO IT TWICE!!!!!!!

Despite the heroics from Kane, the Spartans would answer by scoring seven runs in the bottom of the 5th to take the 4-run lead. The Redhawks would attempt a rally, as a 2-RBI double by Trevor Antonson in the 6th cut the deficit to three, before Royce Hale in the 8th picked up his first collegiate hit and eventually came around to score on a Spartan wild-pitch.

Seattle U (3-4) would be turned away in the 9th however, as they dropped game three and the series to San Jose State.

The Redhawks will have a quick turnaround as they head to San Francisco to battle the Dons tomorrow, Feb. 26. First pitch is scheduled for 1pm PT with the game being broadcast on ESPN+.
