Third Quarter Struggles Cost Redhawks in Riverside

St. George, Utah - Seattle U women's basketball (1-12, 1-3 WAC) wrapped up its final contest of the week, falling to California Baptist, 79-94, in Riverside, California. The Western Athletic Conference (WAC) matchup took place at the Dale E. and Sarah Ann Fowler Events Center on the campus of CBU.

St. George, Utah - Seattle U women's basketball (1-12, 1-3 WAC) wrapped up its final contest of the week, falling to California Baptist, 79-94, in Riverside, California. The Western Athletic Conference (WAC) matchup took place at the Dale E. and Sarah Ann Fowler Events Center on the campus of CBU. 

Makayla Moore led the Redhawks in scoring on the afternoon, posting a career-high 18 points on 7-for-13 from the field to go along with six total rebounds. 

Asta Blauenfeldt marked her third straight game in double figures, chipping in 14 points and tying her career-high with five assists. 

Aannah Interrante and Mya Moore (10) also finished with double digit points, with the former marking a career-best 12 points and three made threes.

Seattle U marked 20 second chance points compared to CBU's seven. 

The Redhawks marked season-highs in points (79), field goals made (30), three point field goals made (12) and assists (21). 

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Redhawks were giving the WAC's top team a run for their money in the first half, claiming their first lead of the game after this Julianna Walker three pointer to open the second quarter.

Walker marked another three pointer on SU's first possession of the second half, narrowing CBU's lead to just one.

The Lancers would go on to push their lead back to 14 at the end of the quarter that proved too much to overcome.
