SEATTLE, WA - Seattle U women's tennis dropped their home opening match against Portland this Friday, with an overall score of 0-7. The Redhawks fall to a 1-2 record, after defeating North Dakota (5-2) and falling to Montana State (2-5) during their season opening weekend. 

Elena Kraleva and Anastasia Nikolova paired up against Iva Zelic and Sally Pethybridge, and were leading the match (6-5), however the match was not completed. 
Liliya Dimova and Lamija Avdic paired up to take on Rimona Rouf and Aleksandra Dimitrijevic, and dropped the match (3-6). Lola Tavcar and Jade Quintana teamed up and fell to the duo of Alaia Rubio Perez and Meagan Pearson, earning the Pilots the doubles point. 

In singles play, Elena Kraleva fell to Iva Zelic (3-6, 4-6), and Liliya Dimova fell to Sally Pethybridge (2-6, 0-6). Lamija Avdic lost a competitive match against Alaia Rubio Perez (6-2, 3-6, 7-10), and Anastasia Nikolova fell to Rimona Rouf (0-6, 6-2, 1-6). Jade Quintana was defeated by Aleksandra Dimitrijevic (2-6, 4-6), and Shuanghui Huang fell to Nadine Arbaizar Martinez (0-6, 1-6). 

The Redhawks will continue competition with another home match next weekend against Saint Mary's on Sunday, January 28th.
