SEATTLE - Seattle U volleyball concludes the 2023 Western Athletic Conference (WAC) season this week, hosting Utah Tech and Southern Utah on Thursday and Saturday, respectively. Both matches will be streamed live on ESPN+ with live stats available.
Thursday's contest against the Trailblazers will feature a postgame autograph session with the Redhawks, while Saturday's evening match against the Thunderbirds will begin with SU honoring seniors Kylie Waters and Anastasia Galanou.
FOLLOW THE REDHAWKS
Seattle U ranks fifth in blocks per set (1.97) and sixth in total team attacks (3,090) and total team blocks (179).
Arianna Bilby ranks first in the WAC in total attacks (1,002) and attacks per set (11.01), third in kills per set (3.49), fourth in total kills (123), fifth in points per set (3.94) and sixth in points (3.58.5).
Elif Teksoy ranks fifth in the WAC in total assists (805) and assists per set (8.85).
The Redhawks trail the all-time series against Utah Tech, 1-5, dropping the earlier contest against them this season.
The Redhawks are tied all-time with Southern Utah, 1-1, after winning a five set thriller in Cedar City last month.
This is Michelle Cole's fourth season at Seattle U and sixth overall as a head coach.
The 2023-24 academic year marks the 25th season of SU volleyball since the program was reinstated in 1999. This will be their 16th season as a NCAA Division I member and 12th as part of the Western Athletic Conference (WAC).
Seattle U added Felipe Nogueira as an assistant coach this offseason. Nogueira spent the past two seasons as the head coach of the Grand View men's volleyball program, receiving the AVCA Thirty Under Thirty award and guiding the Vikings to a 2022 NAIA National Championship and an overall record of 47-11.
