BOZEMAN, Mont. - Seattle U volleyball takes a break from tournament action this upcoming weekend, traveling to Bozeman, Montana, for a pair of matchups on Thursday and Friday. Both matches will be streamed live on ESPN+ with live stats available.

The Redhawks are coming off a 1-2 record over the weekend, capturing a reverse sweep victory over Nevada on Saturday to conclude the Eastern Washington Tournament on a high note.
Seattle U dropped its opening matchup of the Eastern Washington Tournament against Eastern Washington on Friday afternoon, falling in four sets. Both Arianna Bilby (21) and Naima Foster (17) set season-highs in kills with Bilby tying for the game-high and Foster finishing third overall. Bilby notched her second double-double of the season after adding 11 digs. Foster marked her first career double-double with another career-high performance in digs (15). Elif Teksoy posted her best career assists performance, notching 47 to go along with seven digs and two total blocks.
The Redhawks later fell in a tough contest against Pacific in three sets on Friday evening. Foster (12) led the Redhawks in kills, marking her fourth double-digit kill performance in her first five collegiate matches.
Seattle U ended the weekend with a reverse sweep of Nevada on Saturday afternoon. Seattle U posted one of its best hitting percentages of .406 in the fourth set after recording 15 kills and only two errors on 32 total attempts. The Redhawks posted season-best team performances in kills (56), service aces (12), digs (61), solo blocks (six) and points (76).
Bilby grabbed her third double-double of the season with 18 kills and 16 digs, while Foster set a new career-high with her own 18 kills. Marley Hardgrave set new career-highs in both kills (nine) and solo blocks (three), while Teksoy finished just two assists shy of her career-high with 45 assists. Katlyn Sipes recorded a season-best 22 digs to go along with two service aces, while Merima Smajlovic (10) notched double-digit digs and finished tied for the game-high with three service aces.
After the tournament, Arianna Bilby was named to the All-Tournament Team. Bilby tied for the team lead in kills with 47, posting a hitting percentage of .221. The Arlington, Wash., native also added four service aces and logged the third most digs on the squad with 53.
Naima Foster has come out of the gates strong to begin her collegiate career, recording 73 kills and 91.5 points through the first six matches for the most ever by a Redhawk freshman.
This is Michelle Cole's fourth season at Seattle U and sixth overall as a head coach
The 2023-24 academic year marks the 25th season of SU volleyball since the program was reinstated in 1999. This will be their 16th season as a NCAA Division I member and 12th as part of the Western Athletic Conference (WAC).
Seattle U added Felipe Nogueira as an assistant coach this offseason. Nogueira spent the past two seasons as the head coach of the Grand View men's volleyball program, receiving the AVCA Thirty Under Thirty award and guiding the Vikings to a 2022 NAIA National Championship and an overall record of 47-11.
