Preview: XC at Charles Bowles Invitational

Seattle University's cross country team will have their second meet of the season, taking place at the Charles Bowles Invitational on September 30th hosted by Willamette University in Salem, OR. The event will be taking place at McCulloch Stadium and Bush Park, with the men's 8k at 8:30 am and women's 5k at 9:30 am.

Seattle University's cross country team will have their second meet of the season, taking place at the Charles Bowles Invitational on September 30th hosted by Willamette University in Salem, OR. The event will be taking place at McCulloch Stadium and Bush Park, with the men's 8k at 8:30 am and women's 5k at 9:30 am.

The Redhawks return to the event after the women's team shined by taking a first place victory at the meet last year. Seattle U's top three finishing women will be returning to the meet this year, Caitlyn O'NeilLilianne Hargreaves, and Azalea Groleau. The women gave an outstanding performance, with O'Neil finishing in seventh place, Hargreaves finishing in eighth place, and Groleau finishing in eleventh place at last years meet. The men's team finished in fifth place overall at the event last year, with Alex Franklin and Gus Harquail finishing in seventeenth and twenty-fifth place, respectively. 

There will be a total of twenty-nine teams competing in each race at the event, including four NCAA Division I schools, whom are Portland State, the University of Portland, Oregon State, and the University of Hawaii.
