COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho – Seattle U women's golf heads to its second tournament of the 2023 fall campaign, taking part in the sixth annual Gonzaga Invitational. The three-day event is scheduled to take place at Coeur d'Alene Resort Golf Course on the 6,085 yards course with a par of 71. All three days will feature shotgun starts, with the Redhawks teeing off at 7:30 a.m.
"We are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead of us," said Head Coach Marc Chandonnet. "We have a quick turnaround and after reflecting, we feel like our preparation was solid this past week and we are ready to compete. We will definitely miss Rivekka this week, who is competing for her country in the Asian Games, but this gives our players an opportunity to step up and earn a spot in the lineup moving forward."
The Redhawks will be competing against golfers from British Columbia, Cal State Bakersfield, California Baptist, Gonzaga, Grand Canyon, North Dakota State, San Francisco, South Dakota, UC Davis, UC Riverside, ULM and Wichita State. Seattle U's team lineup will consist of Tsara Ralamboarison, Shayna Lu, Annika Cruz, Aaryanna Morris and Maria Fedorowycz. Samantha Yates will also be competing as an individual.
This will be the fifth time the Redhawks have taken part in the Gonzaga Invitational. Rivekka Jumagulova holds the best-ever finish by a Redhawk back in 2021, taking third overall with a three-round total of 214.
